Basic Information
Anatomy

Their body structure consists of a head, a torso, four limbs and for some kinds, a tail or a pair of wings. Skin, hair and eye colours vary.
Genetics and Reproduction
Depends on Fae kind. Alfyn and Dorfyn reproduce through natural birth. Other kinds of Fae are created when Gaia's sacred pollen touches their representative elements.
Growth Rate & Stages
Depend on Fae kind. Alfyn and Dorfyn reach physical maturity at the age of 100, will reach social sense of adulthood at 150. Other kinds of Fae reach physical maturity at the age of 50.
Faes' life force is bound to their representative elements, if that element lives they live, if it dies, the Fae dies with it.

History
When Gaia was first formed out of nebula and cosmos dust, when she first gained her consciousness, and opened her eyes. She let out a cry of pain, for her skin was molten lava. In Gaia's agony, volcanoes erupted, spurting gases into the cold void. The coldness condensed the gases, so rain fell upon Gaia's burning skin, and her pain was eased.
For millennia the circle of anguish and comfort continued, and eventually, water overcame fire. Lava solidified into continents, water accumulated into oceans, gases tethered by gravity formed the atmosphere, the raging elements all fell into places. Lands and oceans set their boundaries, hot and cold drew their border. Day brought light and night cast shadow, the wind blew to the four directions and the tides edded and flowed.
The foundation of changing has been laid and Gaia said, 'I am ready.' And she planted the seed from the beginning of her time.
It took the seed a millennium to grow, for what was young seedling, now a mighty wood. Its leaves touched the Vault of Amainna and Addānu, its root reached deep into Gaia's core. And for the first time, the tree bloomed, and its pollen awoke the entire world. The air, the fire, the water, the hot and cold, the flora, the mountain, the creek, the rock...everything that was touched by the light of the pollen came into consciousness. These row consciousnesses were the primal forms of Fae.
Those raw consciousnesses came into the forms of spirits. They wandered the newly formed surface freely, curious and restless. Gaia loves them. She cared for them and provided for them, nursed them and nourished them. And those spirits love their mother back, so profoundly that they wished to touch and tend to Gaia's surface.
So Gaia crafted forms out of their representative elements, out of water, earth, wind and fire, out of stones, rocks, trees and grasses. She sorted the spirits, now in the forms of Fae, out. Those who were touched by the light of Addānu and Zahallu, she called them Solach, the light folk. Those who were graced by the luminescence of Amainna and Litâ, she gave forth the name, Dorch, the dark folk.
For the many years that came and went, the Faefolk flourished on the lands now humans call home.
