In Ianua, there are many gods, goddesses and deities, but only a few were legally recognized under the Ethar Empire. They were called the Pure Pantheon, and were the only gods who people were legally allowed to worship. The other gods make up what is now known as the Veiled Pantheon, and were regarded as evil, dark and occult. If a person was caught praying to one of these deties, they could be gravely punished, being banished from settlements or thrown into prisons.
