Solaes: God of the Sun and Life

Pure Pantheon

Solaes is one of the two most important gods in the Pure Pantheon, and are the most widely worshipped as they also are the patron of the widest range of domains. They are the god of the sun, life, agriculture and music. Everyone from farmers to poets and bards to children worship Solaes. Walking through any of the post-rebirth cities, Solaes' symbol of a shining sun is probably the one you will see displayed most often on homes, robes, tattoos, staves, jewelery, instruments and tools.

Solaes is described as being elven in features with gold tinted skin, a gleaming halo circling their head, deep brown wings spanning 25 feet, and clawed feet like an eagle. They are often pictured wearing a flowing gown and holding a lute in one hand and a pitchfork in the other.

Holidays

Each midsummer solstice, Nationwide festivals are held to celebrate the sun with food, music and art. In the harvest quarter (third quarter) of the cycle, harvest festivals are held either celebrating a successful harvest and praying for the same fortune next cycle or mourning a failed harvest, and praying for a better one next cycle.
