Clan consensus

Purpose

Following and increase in name and title changes this document was created to keep track of the members of a clan and their titles. Over time this was expanded to include past and current occupation, genealogy, court charges and convictions, important dates, clan history, and values the clan upholds. While not a government document altered copies are filed in town halls or court houses to insure no ones name is gotten wrong.

History

During the occupation Menirvin tribal family units were frequently split up to to the unique way they handled jobs. In any other country at the time if your father was a fisherman so were you, in the Menirvin tribes however you shadowed different jobs from the time you turned twelve up until you had settled into an apprenticeship that would typically be your occupation for life.   Because of this menirvin families usually had members with wildly different and highly developed vocational skills living together. The Overni and their highly developed social structure were confused and disgusted by this strange behavior and purposefully relocated menirvin workers so they would be separated. So after the war most menirvins found themselves not knowing where their family members were and most didnt have the time or resources to go looking.   This was when the precursor to the Clan consensus was implemented in 7083 SE as a group of parchments messengers would carry from place to place with them on their runs and document the name, occupation, home tribe, parents names, and whether they were still alive. This allowed families to reunite and relocate as a now unified Menirv settled into a new way of living.   Later in the year 7085 this document format gained popularity as more and more families adopted new adult members with rapid speed which led to inconsistencies and inaccuracies when referencing people in letters and at official proceedings.
