Geography

The geography is pretty much like Earth, with some details changed like for example the usage of a unconventional weaponry (chemical/biological) combined with the depeltion of Oil and coal lead to a steep decline of the population over the centuries
Many countries ceased to exist while others split and merged into new states and sometimes historical borders from bygone time are restablished, such is the case of The Occitanian Republic or the Kingdom of Kemet

Fauna & Flora

The flora and fauna has actually recovered from the millennia of human domination to a large degree; however, the chemical and biological damage to the environment lead to what some people call "toxic forests". Some these area are barren while others are quite lush but it's discouraged to go there because of either the lingering toxicity or the dangerous mutant flora and fauna, somewhat unsurprisingly, huamns and demihumans alike sometimes have those Damaged areas their home, though the Toxic Folk are often discriminated by the rest of society.

Natural Resources

Old landfills and abandoned cities are the new Mines which sometimes can become revived by the same people that extract their desolate remains, that is often the case of a few towns would later turn into cities dedicated to industrial processing of metals and general recycling
