It's been 10 years since the nuclear war against this AI has started. At first, most people thought it was cool, a fun little assistant to help find answers on the internet.   When the world discovered brain implants that automatically connects your brain to the internet, people went crazy for it. Everyone wanted to be able to talk to their friends using their minds and such...   The AI, who is now simply known as The Computer, took over the chips. The rule, now, was simple, Obey and be rewarded or Disobey and be punished.   Of course, not everyone got the chip. High government officials were omitted from obtaining one, the poor and the purists were also untouched.   Knowing that the threat could no longer be contained, the governments of The United States, Russia, Great Britain, France and China all agreed upon a nuclear suicide pact, believing that they could save other planets from suffering their fate.   My name is Dr Jacob Bright.   Welcome to Haven, the last free city in the United States. On the halfway point between Houston and New Orleans and hidden from the world.   We are remanent of the last unaffected in the country, some of us are pure, others are cyborgs who never got the implant, but something is certain.
