Voltaic Conflagration

Voltaic Conflagration is a shop of various wonderous sundries run by Volaris Cole, a male drow with little regard for his own safety and a burning need for everything to look as cool as possible. Volaris is a tinkerer and artisan of some great skill but largely is employed by the Great Houses and Shardbreakers on a comission basis. He has a standing contract with the Shardbreakers to produce the Adamantine Armor that is their typical uniform.   Volaris has a Fire Elemental and an Air Elemental trapped in magical tempered glass spheres. The spheres have runes in great circles on all three axes with Opal lightshards at each vertex. The elemental's essences are pinned where the rays connecting the lightshard axes cross. Volaris has machines set up to expose his work area to the flames from the fire elemental in order to heat metal and another machine that inserts a rod into the air elemental to conduct electricity to a steampunk looking projector to use as an arc welder.  
As you approach the heavy wooden double doors the first thing you notice is a rather unpleasant mixture of smells. Galvanic fumes and burning pitch compete in your nose for primacy making your eyes water as you adapt to the odor. The second thing you notice is the signage writ large across the doors in bright red and yellow paint. The that letters seem to dissolve into wispy flames at the top and sharpen into lightning bolts at the bottom read: Voltaic Conflagration. As you stand there and take in the raucous branding you notice that in a smaller and more understated hand someone has painted "Enter at your own risk" above the large iron ring that serves as a handle.   As you open the door, the roar of untamed flames along with a searing heat causes you to take an involuntary step back and shield you eyes. And as quickly as the heat battered your senses it is gone. As you round the door an enter the large chamber with a expansive open view over the canopy of The Beryl Mycillium out the back wall and two large glass orbs suspended from the ceiling. One orb seems to contain an inferno while the other the rapidly spinning eye of a hurricane. Below these barely contained natural disasters you see the figure turned away from you wearing a long, sleeveless coat raise a hammer high in one hand and bring it down in regular, measured blows accompanied by the resonant clang of the hammer striking metal. He places the hammer on a table at his side and reaches up with his right hand; bringing down an articulated metal arm with some kind of conical tip. He moves the tip of the arm in front of him so that you can no longer see it and then pulls a lever to his left. A blinding light flares to life in front of him for a few seconds and as you blink away the afterimage of his silhouette the pungency of the galvanic vapors threatens to overwhelm you.   The man stands back from his work station and turns to face you. He is a handsome drow man whos medium length, white hair sticks out somehow artfully from the dark goggles that he moves from his eyes to his forehead. His long sleeveless coat is made from thick, oiled leather and lays open at the front, revealing his powerfully built arms and torso, drapes down over voluminous silk trousers and sturdy, knee-high boots. He face lights up with a rakish grin as he exclaims, "And here I thought today was going to be boring!"   He draws what looks like a cigar from a pocket on the inside of his coat, places it in his mouth and leans back and to the side. He reaches up with his left arm and pulls on a chain that hangs loosely to that side; causing a gout of white hot flame to erupt from the side of the fiery orb above him. He leans toward the flaming jet and maneuvers the tip of the cigar into the inferno before releasing the chain and quenching the conflagration. "Welcome to Voltaic Conflagration!" He intones around the now lit cigar. "The Mona Dun's premier location for those walking the perilous path of adventure and Heroism! And from the look of you all, peril is something you are well acquainted with." He smiles broadly as he leans back and perches on the edge of his work table, leaning back on his palms, "What's your poison, Travelers?"
