Tempus Borden
Temperance Bradley (a.k.a. Tempest, Herbert)
Tempus Borden was born into a well-to-do family. He has 5 younger siblings (2 sisters, 3 brothers) and 2 older (a sister and brother). All of his family members, with the exception of his grandfather (a dentist) are members of the clergy of the Church of Sarenrae. Tempus had planned to follow his family into religious service, but had a falling out with his parents and left the Church in spite of having already made his vows to the goddess. As punishment, she took his sight, and he turned his back on her and her followers entirely (though he still bears her sign and follows many of the teachings).
He chose to study Alchemy and associated disciplines, and achieved the title of Master. During his studies, he befriended a magpie that now serves as his "seeing-eye bird" (though its reliability is questionable). He also developed a psychological addiction to alvmint, or "purple grass." Noticing his struggle with abandoning his faith, his mentor advised he look into the god Nethys. Tempus eventually began to refer to himself as a follower of Nethys, though he has sworn to never again make an oath to a deity. Upon completing his studies, he decided to travel the world in an attempt to find a new calling.
Tempus has a kind, laid-back personality. He is patient, especially with children (due to his experience with his younger siblings). While he often seems irresponsible or uncaring, Tempus will readily assume the role of caretaker for anyone he deems in need of a guiding hand. He acts according to his whims, and has traveled extensively. Despite being a Master of Alchemy, he has chosen to live as a Druid instead, spending most of his time among trees and mountains. He is currently employed by Lord Dolce Gabbana.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Tall and thin, very lanky with knobbly knees and pointy elbows.
Body Features
Olive skin with freckles everywhere, silvery hair, grey eyes. Often paints his nails.
Facial Features
Long, narrow face with high cheekbones, thin lips and arched eyebrows, and a rather long nose. Eyes are slanted and droopy, usually half-open.

Pierced ears, dove and lily tattoo on the left side of his ribcage, Sigil of Sarenrae tattoo on upper right chest (just below collarbone), Eye of Nethys at the base of his neck.

Left handed, tends to clasp hands behind back when at rest. Often leans on his staff.

Extremely colorful, loudly patterned clothing. Wears an assortment of jewelry, including a necklace with a goblin tooth pendant.

Follows Nethys, but is not especially invested. Formerly worshiped Sarenrae and studied to become a priest of her order, but left the church without finishing his religious education.

Very shy, but feigns relaxation, which often comes across as flippancy. He's very nervous in front of people he doesn't know well. While he generally doesn't worry about etiquette, he's actually well-versed in proper manners and behavior.
