Zemesh family tree

When the first settlers of the Raft village finished to clear out the vegetation that covered the left wing of Zemesh palace, were surprised to find what seemed to be the proof of people that, many centuries before them, seemed to have done the same choice of taking a dragon as their lover.   In the floor mosaics and frescoes, in fact, were clearly depicted intimate scenes of sex between humans and what looked like dragons in their natural humanoid form, or of naked humans surrounding and embracing a laying dragon.   One of these frescoes, occupying the whole back wall of the main room in the left wing, depicts a detailed figure of a dragon, and beneath it several human portraits with clear names inscribed in golden paint below them and each linked to a list of other names.   This is thought to be the most ancient example surviving of a makarids' genealogic tree, and to depict Zemesh's lovers (the name of the dragon can be faintly read at the top of the fresco) and list their makarid descendants.   Though incomplete, it is in fact thouht that two more humans were depicted with their descendants on the far right corner of the mural that went missing during a fire, the artefact has a fundamental importance for the rconstruction of the lineage of one of the most ancient makaids clans, and as reflection, for the whole of the makarids heritage.   It was also proof that the practice of dragons to have romantic and sexual relationships with humans is older than previously thought, and it predates the mythology of the thirteen, thouh the discovery is largely unknown to anyone besides the Zemesh clan and the Makahar clan.
