Etha 'Silver Hair' Zul

Etha, the Captain of The Ferret, after a long and successful pirate career, is enjoying a semi retirement sailing the ship as a merchant vehicle.
Etha is a tall woman in her late 40ies, with strong hands marked by the years at sea and long pale ginger hair. At sea she's never separated from the tricorn hat that she sottracted from the Captain of one of her first captured ships and often wears a long leather coat and high boots.
As a new qualified engeneer from Kithanda's Academy, Etha found employment quickly in the Apex Empire Company, working at the expansion of one of the branches of Sphatikhana mines. Here she met and fell in love with one of the head makarid Resonators who was working side by side with her in the planning of the new branches of the mines.
The relationship grew over the course of several months and the two were planning to go live together after the completion of the job.
Unknown to her, her lover was a bound slave of the mines and in order to fulfill their dream of freedom and a life together they got entangled, together with other Miyiks in the organization of the Sphatikhana revolt. On the day of the insurgence, they got captured and immediately shipped to an unknown destination to be sold as a common slave.
Etha promised to herself that she'll find them again and free them, and to do so captured a newly built ship and with a crew formed by a mix of makarids, petty outlaws and a few disaffected academics, set sail to try to find them.
After the failure of the first attempts, she had to resort to piracy to maintain the expenses of keeping the crew, and realizing the huge amount of slavers ships sailing through the Svajan Sea, started to target those primarily and started to sail under the Ferret's jaws flag and kill all crews of the captured slaver's ships that would not repent from their action and agree to join them in the fight against the trade of makarid slaves.
