Grass Braiding Signs
- A large ring: good place for an encampment
- A lone, standing, forked shock with cleared space surrounding: hidden danger nearby
- A sloping shock: this way (towards the lower end, braided bands running perpendicular to the ground may indicate miles)
- A conical shock with ends braided in and a scrap of cloth worked into the grass: memorial (the cloth is a strip of the dead person's clothing)
