Hebram's Aloe Ointment

In the winter of 284 CE, a herbalist named Hebram in The Weld, near the Bay of Blessings discovered a strange new herb growing near their home. This small, spikey succulent was flowering, despite the cold temperature and relative lack of sunlight. Much to the amazement of the herbalist, the small plant seemed healthy and happy in the cold, and was indeed thriving.
After weeks of searching, the herbalist found a few more small patches of this plant, which they named Hebram's Aloe, and began to cultivate it in their home. While the plant seemed to grow less well in the warmth and shelter of the house, it was still able to grow. The herbalist began experimenting with this plant, mixing it with other medicinal herbs and testing it on the injuries of locals.
By mid 285 CE the herb was well noted as having excellent healing properties when mixed with a local medicinal flower called Red Foxtail, and with charcoal. Hebram began to produce small batches of this seemingly miraculous ointment, and distributed it whenever they could, though the Hebram's Aloe was very rare and making the ointment was a slow process.

Utility

The ointment can be taken from the jar and either spread on an open wound to aid in healing or it can be ingested to aid in removing toxins and disease from the body.

Manufacturing

The process of creation is, at this time, still a closely guarded secret.
It is known that the process includes grinding of the ingredients, boiling straining and rendering them, and likely involves either fermentation or the addition of a separate thickening agent.
