Advocate

Spellcasters in Highrune are called advocates, they cast spells- the right words to make a wish come true. With knowledge, devotion or innate understanding of the terms needed to make simple words into workable, repeatable spells. Any Wishlings, can ask wild spirits for anything to come true, and it might or it might go terribly wrong. Only advocates get their intended result to happen. To keep the wild spirits with them, They make bonds with the spirits, giving away small Token to gain weaker spirits, or their limbs and memories to connect with stronger wild spirits, sometimes even promising an oath to them. Therefore being an Advocate is not just a job that requires constant study, but sacrifice.

To be called an advocate one must form a true connection, and be able to manipulate Wild spirits to create "spells" or more speficily swyno, magic, without falling into chaos magic.

  There are four traditions of magic, and an advocate can be trained in one of them or all of them, tho those are stratching the line thinn and are very volatile spellcasters.   There are many ways to connect with wild spirits, and somtimes, just by making the connection, you learn how to operate with the wild spirit. Those are called mutual bounds, where the spirits wanted the advocate to connect with it, and they both beneift from that. Fey creaturs, domnann and the like mostly have those kind of bounds with wild spirits. Most spontaneous spellcasters bound this way. It is still needed to learn how to proform some tasks, by experience or from toutlage, but most of the spellcasting is done from a deep gut feeling of connection.
Other times the advocate studies the wild spirits, learn of their ways, and the proper word of wishes, the advocate will memorise the rules of how to form a stentance, and might memorise houndres of ways to commend a spirit. Those spellcaster have a "cognition bounds" to wild spirits, and they bond with the wild spirit from a place of deep knowledge and understanding of the physical laws of the world. Most prepared spellcaster bound this way.
Other cant bound with the wild spirits in those two ways, or rather not to. They force a bound or trick spirits into working for them. Those are "runelocked bounds" where usally a set of runes is used to compall the spirit to work their magic in a way the advocates can enforce. A crafty advocate can use those runelocked wild spirits and create magical items powered by the spirits who need not advocates to create effects from. The last and rarest kind is "possion bounds" were a spirit possess the body of the advocate and they work as one, the advocate needs not to study, or feel the heart of wishes, they move and work as the wild spirit that embodies them. This can happen to chaos magic casters.
