Clarence Ripley

Clarence Ripley met Elvis for the first time in a K-Mart bathroom when he was five years old. Clarence had gotten separated from his mother and was hiding in the bathroom so kidnappers (who he'd been taught were literally everywhere) wouldn't find him. The King calmed Clarence down, pointed out that his mother wasn't likely to find him in the men's room, and convinced him to go to the service desk and have his mother paged. The plan worked, though Clarence did get reprimanded for lying when he told his mom about Elvis helping him.
After that, "Bathroom Elvis" (as Dr. Stanley Ampersand dubbed the surprisingly common apparition in his paper Has Elvis Left The Building?: The Many Afterlives of Elvis Presley) often appeared to Clarence whenever he had a problem or needed encouragment. When Clarence found a subreddit devoted to the practice of Elvismancy, he knew what he was meant to do. The day after he graduated high school, Clarence left for Las Vegas, where he'd already arranged his apprenticeship to learn the ways of Elvismancy and the art of Elvis impersonation. Since completing his training, Clarence has just sort of been "walking the earth," only in a Cadillac.
