Old Geoffrey's Pocket

Said to be a local legend by some, a true danger of this world by others, Old Geoffrey's Pocket is a place that no one plans to visit. It pops up when you least expect it, and collects all lost objects from between couch cushions or underneath beds. Witnesses report it as an endless expanse of junk, ranging from furniture to dolls to magical artifacts. The ceiling is made of colorful canvas painted with moons, stars, and scenes from mythology. It's a if the entire dimension is one giant merchant tent.   A being lives there, taking the form of a very old human man with a long beard braided with trinkets and coins, who carries a pile of debris upon his back in a giant satchel. He apparently calls himself Geoffrey the Collector.   One traveler tells of meeting Old Geoffrey after the wind blew their hat into a strange alleyway in the capital city. It's as if the cobblestones grew less stable as the traveler walked, shifting until the gaps between the stones appeared large as canyons, and they fell between them, feeling as small as a grain of sand.   The lone traveler was trapped here for days on end amidst the sea of items, until Geoffrey appeared. To grant passage out of his lair, the old man required that the traveler make a trade. Leave an object of importance, and take another. "Choose wisely," the old man warned.   The traveler agreed, leaving behind a handkerchief given by their lover, and took a strange bird in a cage. With that, the old man laughed and snapped his gnarled fingers.   The traveler was standing in the city streets once more, still holding the cage and its contents. As for the alley, it had disappeared entirely.

The cover image is fantastic at setting the whimsical tone of the article. The strange geta like sandals are very fun.
