Hemefyll

14th of Pahar

Created by

The Hemefyll was created eons ago, spewing forth from the darkness of the void. A single light bleeding into the ever-present darkness. A hole, it would appear to onlookers had there been anything to look on, had appeared in the cosmos. This new light brought with it a strange energy. This energy began to collect, taking shape though what that shape was none could say. The Elderkine were formed out of the purest of energy. These five beings created, from the matter of the Flame of Creation, the planes of existence. These vast discs were placed by the Elderkine in a rigid structure, known as the World Binding. The Mortal Plane was placed in the center, and upon in the Azeri were born. Orbiting in a dual system with the Mortal Plane is the Eldikar, the Plane of Wilderness. Above is the Plane of Elysium which eventually became the realm of the gods. Below is the Shadermyl, or the Plane of Shadow. Outside of this, orbiting around are the Elemental Planes, the Abyssal Plane, and the Nine Circles of Hell.   The Azeri, the children of the Elderkine, lived upon the Mortal Plane. They quickly learned to manipulate the very fabric of the plane. With this knowledge, they crafted the Azerean Weave--the magical field that permeates throughout space on all plane of existence. When they learned to do it, they first built it upon the Eldikar. Things went horribly wrong. With no form of buffering, the weave filled the plane with unfiltered power. Life exploded, and the very ground was imbued with magic. The Fae were born of the Weave, and took control of the entirety of the plane. Using the new knowledge the Azeri created the Weave on the Mortal Plane, building with it the Nodal Pools that absorbed excess magical energy and dispersed it into the Void. The Azeri also built the greatest magical artifacts the universe has ever known. In doing so they created beings they intended to be their servants. These beings, known as Celestials, quickly grew more powerful than the Azeri were expecting and worked with them to create the Mortal Races in order to free themselves. Thus, the gods and the mortals were created.   In the ages that followed, the Azeri and gods eventually left the Mortal Plane leaving it to the Mortal Races. In modern times, Humans dominate the plane. Their adaptability is unmatched, and they are therefore able to live anywhere and survive all the catastrophic events that come about. Dragonborn are the rarest of the races, created by the Celestials in a fairly recent time they were first hunted out of fear before finally being accepted. The other rarity are the Tieflings, as they are primarily desert dwelling beings, not often willing to accept or meet the other Mortal Races. The other races, though not as common as the humans are seen readily throughout the Mortal Plane.   The Mortal Races are oft at war with each other and themselves. Their desire for power and wealth also brings the attention of the Demons and Devils of the Abyss and Hells to their realm. These beings occasionally make plays for gaining power and a foot hold in the Mortal Plane, but are often thwarted. In the modern era, a renewed Demonic push for power in the Mortal Realm has begun, and the seeds of chaos have begun to be planted in many places throughout the plane. Jealous of this, the Devils of the Circles of Hell have also begun to make a play, and thus a war between these two forces of evil has begun. The War of Chains is primarily taking place int he Abyss and Hells, but may soon spread to the Mortal Plane. The Faeries of the Eldikar have also begun to turn their eye on this as a form of entertainment.
