The Shogun

The Shogun is sole governor of Usilia and has held the position for well over a millennium, though none would dare how he has lived for so long. Thanks to the harsh rules and no-tolerance policy laws he has established he is both revered and feared by his people. Thanks to the abolishment of other religions, and military-enforced propaganda, he is the only officially recognized deity in Usilia. Most houses, government buildings and cities have his image on display and saluting it or swearing fealty before it has become a tradition that most Usilians follow.   He lives within the largest and most city in the land. A fortified city with multiple layers of defense that can only be accessed through difficult mountain paths that are under constant observation. At its center and surrounded by yet another great barrier he lives the largest Pagoda keep in the region and underneath it run the deep ruby mines that are well-known through-out the land, though no commoner has ever laid his eyes upon.   The Shogun's sword, the Kaze-no-tsurugi (Sword of the Wind, or Wind Cutter in some regions) is a legendary weapon whose fame precedes it, as it was the very blade he yielded while he traveled through all of Usilia and consolidated it under his domain.   He also owns a blade crafted in High Peak, one that is as naturally sharp as the Kaze-no-tsurugi and cost him fortune that shifted the stability Eastern Usilia to acquire. Though the blade has only been used publicly once, when Ruby Fields was inaugurated, in the few times the Shogun has been seen in public he has reportedly carried both blades with him.
