Nezzah

Nezzah, the 'Jewel of the Desert' as it's now known wasn't always the shining example of tourism and commercialism it is today. Almost lost to history is it's past as the prison of Opartra. With a huge sprawling underground prison, now long abandoned but it current inhabitants, the Nezzah of today boasts the busiest Tourism trade in the region. Folk from all around the continent flock to see both the history and to experience the delights of 'The Jewel'.

Government

Ruled by the same family of Pharoah's for the past 300 years. Since the end of the Slave revolt or Demon wars, slavery is technically abolished in this city although you wouldn't have to dig too deep to see instances that may be questionable in today's society. The Current Pharoah Shrowd has been on the throne for 46 years and is considered to be coming to the end of his rule by most. His only son, Prince Regal, is the next in line.

Defences

The Ckuch, pronounced Chook, are the cities law enforcement. This has been the case for over 300 years. Aside from the well armed and trained Ckuch, the city has open walls for the most part. Although some would remember the bringing down of its city walls when Shrowd first took rule.

Industry & Trade

Huge relience on tourism to survive. Although has a large trade route with Sophanos and Nepheum.

Infrastructure

Built with a focus on tourism and trade Nezzah boasts a busy river port and trade district. It is also known that Nezzah has a large number of Taverns and Inns. This means that the city also needs a robust security force to keep the revelers in line. Alongside the bustling trade district is the temple quarter. Housing the Largest temple in the region, The temple of the Sun, is somewhat of a pilgrimage for the Opartran peoples. This again increased the visitors heading into Nezzah.
