Kings Lands

King Sigurd rules from the largest of the cities Kandegat, a city situated in the heart of the region by Lake Fadir. Sigurd's territory has rich farming land amongst the hills and valleys, this is what makes it a valuable Jarldom. Sigurd's hold on the region is becoming less and less secure as Jarls are simply abiding by their own laws rather than following those of the King. The land is bordered to the north by Kjempe Dal, the home territory of the mystical Jaedyr and to the West by Gronfjell's green peaks. Inside the Jarldom is the forest of Bladso, a large forest where an ancient temple stands and is used by the King for the nine year sacrifices.The temple is a small building but its place in Shieldite culture means it stands sacred to the gods. Every nine years, the King will go with the high priests and all the Jarls, along with any of the populace that wish to attend, there 9 sacrifices of various forms, including humans are given up to the gods. Lake Fadir is a Great Lake that Kandegat overlooks, it is situated right on top of a rich source of gold that is mined at great difficulty with the expert help of some Shieldite Dwarves.
