The Duke of the Isle of Appley, Veteran of the Decade of Darkness. Helped to reclaim the Island of Appley in the Reclamation of Appley. For his bravery in the Decade of Darkness, he was rewarded the Dukedom of Appley.
At first this was a welcoming decision for the Appoleons at the time. The Duke's leadership was paramount to the rebuilding of the island. However, recently there has been a rise in criminal activities. The Populus of Appley is becoming unrestful towards the Duke, as rumours of corruption spread.

Growing up

Vonak was born into a prestigious Kalruuthian family who were renowned for their masonry. His father, Krod Dragonmaul was the Guildmaster of the Kalruuthian Metal and Mason's Guild. Vonak's mother, however, passed away when Vonak was young.

Leaving Home

It is said Vonak's commanding nature was a trait passed down from his father. With this natural ability, Vonak joined the Kalruuthian Guard during which he trained hard to be a capable warrior.
However, it was his mother's sense of adventure and faith, that led Vonak to leave Duun'Kalruuth. Against the wishes of his Father, Vonak volunteered to join the Kalruuthian Brigade of the Brostian Army, years before the Decade of Darkness.

Reclamation of Appley

About a year after the Realms of Atharia formed the Atharian Alliance, most of Lundia was retaken from the Dominions of the Night World. It was time to retake Brostia.
Legends say it is during the meeting to strategise the Brostian Liberation, that Vonak stepped up with the idea of retaking the Isle of Appley. In fact, he also came up with the idea of striking the city and Edgefell Keep at the same time. The room fell silent as the, at the time, Sergeant, overstepped his superiors. However, the majority agreed while also placing Vonak as the commander of this heroic effort.
Vonak led his troops in the biggest assault of that war. It took him longer than expected and he had lost a lot of brave warriors, but he and the alliance were victorious in reclaiming Appley.
Unfortunately, Vonak sustained an injury that he was able to fight anymore. However, he was appointed as Appley's Commander until the end of the war, where he was then rewarded the Dukedom title of Appley.
