Predator

In the world of Hazard City, there exist several groups of mutants. Some gain their powers naturally, others force the mutation through a chemical known as Nightsmoke.
Within the latter group, a doctor lurked that wanted to turn to control the mutation. He attempted several times to take Nightsmoke and merged with healthy cells. He injected it into several cancer patients, and they all died. Polycephaly Industries terminated his contract after the experiment. The doctor continued his research managing to get a job within Legion.
Legion placed the doctor in a prison where he could continue his research. Several prisoners disappeared at the facility. He made no progress stabilizing the procedure until he hired a lab assistant which gave him the idea of adding the Nightsmoke and the DNA into the body. It would be impossible to completely control the mutation as the doctor wanted, but he did manage to keep one of his subjects alive.
That subject didn’t mutate for several rounds. The human DNA added only created more Elemental class mutants. These mutants were terminated. The doctor did one last experiment. He took the DNA from a turkey and used it for the DNA added a more potent form of Nightsmoke. The result was humanly mutated, but the Nightsmoke effected the DNA.
The potency of the Nightsmoke took some of the more primal parts of the bird DNA. The subject grew long talons on his hands and feet. Teeth sharpened and his mouth elongated. Across his skin feathers sprouted. The process caused a great deal of pain the subject nearly died as his bones shifted. It also took several hours to complete. It could still communicate, but the doctor stopped calling him human. He became the first Predator, the first of a new line of species.

Transmission & Vectors

You need a full dialysis machine along with a supply of a highly concentrated version of Nightsmoke.

Symptoms

A reshaping of your genetic code. Your bones might move around, grow, shrink, the density of your body could drop considerably. Your skin can harden to the point of armor.
The entire time you will feel pain. You will not be able to be put to sleep during it, you can not ignore it.

Treatment

Once mutated, you can not be unmutated

History

The first recorded Predator name is lost. Hazard City will only know him as Rapture.

Cultural Reception

Mutants can cause fear within the population. Those who are mutants are tribal in nature. Predators are forced underground because of their physical deformities. Two clans grow as a result.
One is the Wolves. They are a pack of outcasts that undergo the process of becoming Predators. All of them are coated in fur, many of the initial members take Wolf DNA, but later members range from fox to wolverine, to several small animals and pack animal DNA.
The other is referred to only as Predators. They are led by Rapture and have within it an unknown number of other mutated people all receiving animal mutations based on a known predator.
Of all the mutants classed under Predator, only one receives a half good reputation, Hawk. A lone mutant that flies around Hazard City defending the nonmutant population from the Predator and Wolves.
