Volcanic Nest

This active volcano is in the center of a mountain range that spans the upper continent, the Barrenlands. It is an active volcano, with a cave system at the base. This cave system is used by the Hydro Heads out in the Barrenlands as a Nest.

Geography

Since it is in the center of a mountain range, it does have mountains running from it to the south and to the north. It is in the center of a desert, which is made up primarily of sand and stone, though there are small pockets of vegetation and fresh water.
Within the volcano itself, is an intricate cave system that opens up along the base of the volcano. The heat from magma and occasional lava pools creates a safe zone during the deserts cold nights.

Ecosystem Cycles

There are two seasons for the area around the volcano, dry and wet.

Fauna & Flora

Flora found in the cave system are generally used for herbal remedies of the long-eared humans and the Hydro Heads found in the Barrenlands. Heliac herb and Welklin Sprouts are among the most well known herbs in the area but there are others, provided one is brave enough to try and get to them.
As for Fauna in the area, it is mostly comprised of Hydro Heads that are found in the Nest, Barralizards, and large insects such as the dragonfly-like Juno Flyer.

Natural Resources

Within the caves are multiple helpful herbs. The rich soil allows Heliac Herbs and Welkin Sprouts grow with little mutation, while the heat provides the ideal environment for them.
There are some cacti within the caves, mostly near the outer caves, that are a good source of water for fauna and exiles alike. 
Some spots on the volcano have hardy trees with palm tree like leaves which can be repurposed into small knives.
