Clithar Cove

Clithar Cove, located on the south-western shore of Tightland, is a fairly deep cove that was a pirate's retreat until the Antipiratic Enforcement of 48 EE.
The subsequent sinking of ships and plunder infused the cove with a substantial amount of nutrients, as well as te wreckage providing surfaces for corals and other sealife to live on.
It is currently the most diverse habitat along the Tightish coast, with its close proximity to the shore and slow currents making it an ideal location for researching marine life.

Geography

The cove is on average 52◞Ψ in diameter, the opening to the sea around 16◞Ψ wide, resulting in slow currents in regular weather, keeping valuable nutrients in the cove and reducing erosion of the wrecks.
From out at sea, the entrance of the cove is not inherently visible due to the shape of the coastline, as well as the cliffs forming the seafront.
The cove itself is roughly oval in shape and reaches a depth of around 6◞Ψ near the centre.
It is belived the cove was formed by a fualt in the coastline exposing the softer ground behind it, which was gradually washed away by the saline water.
The cove is surrounded by windy grasslands, the small village of Allcaille, which cups the eastern side of the cove, having set up farmland nearby.

Fauna & Flora

Although the plant and terrestrial wildlife of the surroundings is not particularly varied, the life contained within the cove has been remarked by many to be one of the lushest they had ever seen.
A large amount of fish of all sizes as well as crustaceans, corals, seasnails and seeweeds of many kinds.
This is largely believed to be caused by the different environments caused through the wrecks, creating shaded and exposed, wide and narrow spaces where various creatures may hunt or take shelter.
The right plantlife is also a major factor in sustaining this vast population, and it is possible that rations that are to this day rotting away, as well as the wood of the ships, provides a fertile bed for these species to thrive upon.
