Elken

Elken is a large deer-like animal first discovered on the continent of Gardemoor. They stand slightly taller than the average deer, have thicker and sturdier legs, softer hairs on their pelts, and they don't seem threatened by humans. This has made the elken easy to tame to use as both mounts and livestock, as well as beasts of burden. Both males and females have antlers that grows larger with age. In order to support their ever-growing antlers, their necks and upper forelegs becomes quite bulky with muscle.  Due to this, an elken older than 10 years old is considered too old to eat, as the meat becomes too tough, but prime for riding and hard work.
