Common Phrases in Mo'olelo
There are two primary languages in Mo'olelo: Oleloan and Common. Oleloan is the native language of Mo'olelo and its people. Many who live in Mo'olelo speak Common and some Oleloan, or at least know many common Oleloan words and phrases, although fluency is on the decline.
Geographical Distribution
Both Oleloan and Common can be found all over Mo'olelo. Oleloan is much more concentrated on The White Island, where residents still speak Oleloan as their first and primary language. On all of the other islands, Common is the dominate language with Oleloan mixed in. People will sometimes speak a mixture of the two, kind of like Spanglish. Native Mo'olelo will also switch languages or dialects depending on who they talk to. For example, natives may strictly use Common with visitors or those who aren't originally from Mo'olelo, but will use more of a mixture among friends and family.

--Freddy would go!::Go for it, take a chance - Phrase comes from legendary swimmer & lifeguard Freddy Nalunalu, who decided to attempt to swim back to The Green Island after The Shifting Star capsized on its maiden voyage. Nalunalu attempted to swim back to get help for his crew, but was never seen again and is presumed to have been lost at sea.

--Hanabata days::Back when I was younger, specifically when you were young enough to run around with a runny nose and not care, hence the "hanabata"
