Okvei of Sorovod

Okvei of Sorovod was King of Sorovod from 634 until his death in 642, and is venerated as a sirom, of whom there was a particular cult from 643 to the late 900s. Okvei was the son of Atrokos of Sorovod and came to rule after spending a period in exile. After defeating the current ruler Kaugam, Okvei brought the kingdoms of Padau and Sorovod once again under a single ruler. After eight years of rule, in which he was the most powerful ruler amongst the Soenese, Okvei was killed in the Battle of Tiura.
