Samlen

Samlen is an elven noble, born into the Council of Powers. He is the mage of the Council, and he the headmaster of Daxora, the magic school of Traith.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Samlen is tall and lanky. He is very pale and has very long, dark black hair, which is often seen down and adorned with a Council Circlet. Samlen often wears dark robes with various stitchings. His eyes are icy blue and its said you can feel him freezing you with just his eyes.

When anxious, upset, or angry, Samlen has a tendency to tap his fingers or tap his foot.

Personal history

Samlen was born to one of the previous members of the Council of Powers. His mother died during childbirth, so he never met his mother; only heard stories about her being a kind soul who tamed his father's wild and stubborn heart. As a child, he was taught what was right when addressing the Council and what to do in a situation. He didn't have a childhood and always maintained a serious outlook on things.
As a teen, he studied at Daxora under his father, often learning whatever his father learned during his time at Daxora. Samlen surpassed the teachers' expectations of him, being at the top of his classes.
In his early adult life, Samlen's father retired from his position on the Council to make way for Samlen. Samlen hadn't had a love interest, as he thought it'd be pointless at this point in his life with everything going his way. He didn't want to butcher what he had built just for some silly girl who might die before he ever will.

Failures & Embarrassments

In his youth, Samlen was known to be excessive and easily angered when something didn't go his way. He saw this as something he must control in order to be fit to be a Council Member. He thought he was too brash, so he decided to remain cold, calm, and collected.

Mental Trauma

Growing up without his mother, he didn't have a pleasant childhood like most children would have. His father was strict towards him and was often verbally abusive when he did something wrong, often saying that it was for the best in order to take his place in the Council. Samlen endured this, though, as he wanted that seat on the Council more than anything.
