Adamantine

An extremely hard metal found deep in the mountains of Varthea and Gullonde. When exposed to magical or natural light the metal gives off a dull green hue. This metal requires enormous heat and experience to forge into competent weapons and armor. Adamantine is fifty percent heavier than steel but far beyond it's strength. Armor and structures made from this metal are four times as strong and weapons made by it ignore other materials and metal's hardness as if it were as soft as wet clay. A hammer made of adamantine is quite the valuable tool to a smith, especially a dwarven one. An adamantine hammer can forge metals while much cooler than other tools. This allows for the creation of some of the finest tools and creations possible.

As a weapon or armor material:
Price Modifier: x2
Weight and Hardness: Quadruples the hitpoints of the object and increases the weight by 50% rounded to the nearest whole number unless the base weight is 1 pound or less.
Inherent Bonuses: Quadruples the hitpoints of the object and increases the weight by 50% rounded to the nearest whole number unless the base weight is 1 pound or less.
Weapons: Overcomes non-magical resistance or immunity of the weapons damage type. The AC of structures hit by an adamantine weapon are considered to be 4 lower than their normal value.
Armor: Critical attacks require confirmation against the creature attuned to this armor.(To clarify: If an attack is a critical threat, the attacker must roll an additional attack roll to determine if the attack crits or not. Initial attack rolls of a 20 always hit even if the confirmation attack does not. Critical rolls below 20 must hit on the confirmation roll or they miss.)
Ammunition: 200gp per 20 or price x2, whichever is higher.
