House Thothmeties

Structure

There are the 7 Circles of House Thothmeties. Each specializing in a different area of rediscovery or utility of the Reclaimers.   Aglaocrypto - The masters of the arcane and its mysteries. Astraperadix - The masters of energy and its manipulation. Mutaspora - The masters of the body and its many shapes. Umbrisiliqua - The masters of space and its traversal. Pseudospectabil - The masters of identification and its accuracy. Caliagrandi - The masters of Terra-forming and its many applications. Myriacompso - The masters of trade and its art.   Each are independent Aristarchy, by the best and brightest of their circle. But often due to how resources are allocated it stays in the family, and they take great pain and expense to ensure that.   Once every 7 years the circles convene on Mars, their ancestral homeland, and select from among them who shall take the title of Magnate, master of the 7 circles and its resources.

Culture

Many of the Reclaimers will often give money before they explain what they are doing. It is a common sentiment that money talks, but it only tells lies.   It's common courtesy to pay an agreeable sum should someone figure out what you're doing, even if in good fun a few credits will be exchanged. If this value ends up being low it's a way of a Reclaimer signalling you being a friend or trusted ally.   While they are incredibly nosy and want to be aware of anything in their domain, they are very permissible should you not come into conflict with one of their goals. Even the threat of violence does little to stir a Reclaimer should they know you are aware of their plan, but be warned if you bumble your way into contention they take great personal offense.

Public Agenda

To collect the immaculate marvels of the past for the power and wealth of the house.

Assets

Aside from The High Tower the organization doesn't hold assets. In order to muster forces, capital, and goods it is often the job of the circle heads, by extracting dues or collecting taxes on transactions. It is said the vault of House Thothmeties, bank of the Great Houses, does not hold gold, dark tech, or even credits. It holds the Ledger. A collection of debts, favors, and reparations. Through careful management of Circle Myracompso the money moves, and the ledger is never red.

History

Part of the initial founding of The Great Houses, they were known to keep excellent records even back during the turbulent times. But unfortunately due to the nature of the ages it was lost piecemeal. Reclaimers take great pride in tracing their lineage to the ancient forefathers. It's like a string that ties them ever closer to the golden age of humanity.

Technological Level

Many outside of the Great Houses would describe what House Thothmeties does as magic or the occult, but those within know the truth. Should science get sufficiently advanced there will be no difference between it and magic, and it certainly appears to be that way.   Aside from the unique dark tech that many member will carry, they also hold some very unique self made creations. These are unique brain augmentations that enhance the mental acuity of the subject, but there is speculation that perhaps it's incredibly dangerous Memorabilia Implants.

Education

Almost every Reclaimer has had exceptional education. It's said even a Thothmeties slave is better educated than the other houses' lords. They are revered as teachers and advisors both. Counting a Reclaimer among your council inspires confidence few others can bring.

Infrastructure

The High Tower is their main base of operation. It contains many marvels of the golden age of humanity, the dark age.

No debt is so great it can't be paid in blood.

Founding Date
There is much debate on the first date of the Empire, but the earliest recorded dealing was House Thothmeties declaring a blood fued with House Nkoss over Vault Baset.
