Although appearing in several Elementant historical records, there is very little known about this artifact. Evidence of its existence first came across the Iwis Dearg when Kumi Narada , the Uasmhéid Sage scholar, discovered The Great Vault of the Elementants in the year 5.345 I.E.

General Description and Lore

Texts depicting the artifact differ upon the description and the nature of the Item. The Taifead an Domhain, describes the Item as a mid-sized tool, made of a material* which is much less resilient but sturdier than gold or silver, although coming from mines like those used to acquire the shiny metals. When described this way, the texts emphasize the unique properties the hammer has in the crafting of weapons of the deadliest nature. In his Treaty on Elementant Warfare@, Kumi Narada even suggests the possibility that by using this artifact, Elementants were able to endow these deadly weapons with even deadlier magical properties. The Taifead den Saol, on the other hand, describes the hammer as the weapon of choice of the captain of the Elementant forces, Pyro. In a verse, the hammer is depicted as a legendary weapon with the power to lift morale in battle. In another poem, Pyro uses the hammer to cast an irregular crackling bright energy beam against his enemies, a beam like those seen during a massive storm outside of the Cnoc Seangáin. When described as a weapon, the hammer's handle is described to be at least 6 feet long.

Actual location

The Taifead den Saol, being an incomplete document it is, has no information to determine the last location of the Hammer of the Taoiseach. It is important to note, though, that The Great Vault of the Elementants has not been fully explored, for it has become a densely inhabited lair of a Puawai Spiders. Even so, it is Narada's best guess that the hammer disappeared along with the Elementants before the Iwi Era. Even so, the Comhairle Sinsir has commanded for an official explorer's party to search for the item. The party is under the command of Bilgo Maugar, an experienced Uasmhéid Sage with at least three entries in the Taifead an Domhain .
