Mating Consort

A mating consort is an honorary title given by the Royal Council of Ullahju to men who have been judged good enough to mate with a princess of the royal family. Princesses are obligated to choose their partners from this pool and as such, this position is seen to be the highest honor in the queendom a man can achieve.
There aren't many requirements one needs to meet to be eligible for this position. You simply need to be at a fertile age and be recommended by a princess to the royal council. The person in question is then to meet the council who will determine whether the candidate is aesthetically pleasing and intelligent enough for its offspring to be considered desireable.
There is an official ceremony where each member of the royal family come together to witness the appointment. During the ceremony, they will be presented with a brooch engraved with a dawnflower, a symbol they are to wear at all times.
Mating consorts are obligated to answer the needs of every princess that demands something of them. They are also forbidden to have a family with anyone outside of the palace. If a man has already started a family with someone else when they get chosen to be a mating consort, they're forced to desert them.
The men who wear this title are allowed to reside in the royal palace and apart from their duties as mating consorts don't have any added responsibilities. They're not allowed to be dining together with the royal family unless invited, but they're provided with the same food as them.
This title usually lasts for the rest of his life, but it's not impossible to be dismissed. Should a princess be offended by a mating consort she can request for him to be stripped of his title. The request will be discussed by the royal council, but as a general rule, this serves only as a formality since the complaint of a princess has always priority. The only way to circumvent a dismissal is for either another princess or the queen herself to complain about the complaint of the original claimant. The queen has absolute authority over any matter in the country, but in case another princess tries to prevent the dismissal, the case will be brought in front of the royal council. If a solution cannot be reached through the council, the verdict will be reached in a royal trial with the queen as judge.
