Nephilim

A Nephilim is a half breed between a human and an angel; male angel and female human. The child is bestowed with part of their fathers Grace, because they are not an angel - a creation of god, their body grows and mingles with the Grace after conception and the two are fused making them strong than their parents.
After conception the Nephilim is only gestated for four and a half months before they are mature enough to be born. Unfortunately the Nephilim's mother does not survive their birth; the human body is not capable of handling the stress from the Grace being introduced to the world.
There are very few Nephilim's in existence as Heaven's Host has a dedicated Legion lead by Gaveel, charged with the obligation of eradicating them from existence before they are born.

Nephilim's cannot reproduce another Nephilim; their Grace is part of their essence and cannot be parted after birth.

Nephilim's do not need to eat or drink, their Grace sustains them indefinitely.

History

The first Nephilim's were created by the Grigori when they Fell from their Post and started to feed on human souls. They started to use humans to create their own forces to rebel against Heaven, however Gaveel and her Legion ended their revolt.
