Hunter
Since the dark days when monsters roamed the Earth freely there have always been those destined to hunt them down and protect those that cannot protect themselves.
Hunters selflessly dedicate their lives to just this task, seeking no reward or recognition for their efforts beyond the simple thanks of those they have saved from the brink of darkness.

History
Since the time when monsters and men walked the Earth together there have always been those humans that have protected others from the monsters.
As time progressed the humans multiplied while the monsters dwindled; while it becoming less and less often for a human to ever see a monster they still existed and so did the need for hunters.
Over time the hunters organised forming colonies or companies of hunters that worked together to not only keep the unknowing humans safe but themselves as well.
