Alistair Colbreak Evenbrook
His Right Honored Grace the Count Alistair (né Redbreak) Colbreak Evenbrook
One of the Dissipators, my father Alistair followed his brother Duncan Colbreak to the very edge of Shui Lu's Holy Waters to avenge their parents and to save Crathlia from the naered. He now lives a quiet life as a duchess's husband and the Count of Redbreak.
Personal History
Early Life
Alistair Redbreak Colbreak was born into the Colbreak Clan to Alana Redbreak and Matthew Colbreak, following his brother Duncan by two years. Both boys were raised in the rural Green Mountains on historical Redbreak land near the town of Mountain Home, where they attended the public primary school.Education
Being the child of two nobles, it was no surprise when he scored above the Everdon threshold. His grades there were never particularly good, but better than those of his older brother. Rather quiet, he tended to struggle most in speech, political maneuvering, and manners. During his sixth year, his parents were killed by naered in the Great War's first battle on Crathlian soil. He dropped out of school to join the army with his brother and his brother's best friend. He never graduated.Great War
My father and Uncle Duncan began the Great War attempting to avenge their parents. Their unit killed so many naered that they became the first human group to be named by the naered: The Dissipators.
With his power over shadow, which can manifest as invisibility, my father was primarily support for the unit. He kept them invisible from both gifted humans and naered, as long as they were all able to block their minds. His skills with telekinesis were also quite valuable, especially against human opponents.
Marriage and Children
During the war, much of the Colbreak Clan was wiped out, leaving Uncle Duncan as the Duke of Colbreak. My father's marriage was arranged to Ophelia Al Anbar Evenbrook by her grandmother Kiera Evenbrook Rosmors, then the Duchess of Evenbrook. My parents married in a double wedding alongside Uncle Duncan and his wife Lillian Whitewave Colbreak on Tinegal 3, 1294, pictured at right (my father is on the far left). They have two children: myself and my younger brother, Gabriel Colbreak Evenbrook. In his spare time, my father enjoys birdwatching and botany. He can identify any Crathlian tree and bird. He also often goes fishing and hunting with his family.Social
Contacts and Relations
Across the aignaoi-influenced world, most leaders would certainly want a connection and association with one of the Dissipators. Thus my father, alongside his brother and other two comrades, often represents Crathlia internationally. The Lumen Empress in particular always invites the Dissipators anytime she invites any Crathlian to her palace.Family Ties
My father's mother, Alana Redbreak, heavily emphasized the importance of family, and this shaped the way that both my father and Uncle Duncan deal with their own families. We have always been extremely close with Uncle Duncan's family. While they were still alive, my father was very close to his maternal grandparents, who built the cabin where he grew up and helped raise him while his parents worked. The majority of his Colbreak and Redbreak extended family were killed in the Great War.Relationships

Great article! I'm very intrigued by your author's note now... I'm guessing that as he is close to his brother and his brother was probably the one who took the decision, he agreed to the arrange marriage. You didn't mention what he thinks about/feel for his wife though.
That's an interesting guess, but nope! Duncan had no say over the marriage, though he was happy that his friend Ophelia would be part of their family. He's a bit of a himbo - his heart's in the right place, but he's not exactly the smartest socially XD Yeah, Cordelia does *not* want to talk about how her parents feel about each other, which is why she carefully leaves it out of these two articles. Alistair feels that he is broken and useless both as a solider and a man. He feels that he's unequipped to deal with Ophelia's myriad of issues and thus shuts himself off and doesn't confide in her at all. This culminates in Alistair cheating on Ophelia, and things have been incredibly tense in Cordelia's family ever since...
Awww... That's sad, but not unexpected...
