The folk of Gorgotha

Well, it is without saying that the dominant species that live in the city are humans, though rats seems to be having a population boom lately. Still, it is the children of god that build the houses these pest like to invade, so their presence is irrelevant. The folk of which is present in the settlement refer to themselves as Giamvese, which originates from their first city, Giamve, that is now their capital. The people are said to be the descendants of a great empire over the ocean, that has fallen to migrating barbarian hordes from the east, and the scourge of god itself, that chased them towards their cities. When they arrived to the new world, trade quickly began between them, and the natives of the area, which they started to assimilate into their population, and became their leaders. The remnants of the natives, the ones that defied the new rulers, have taken up arms against the invading "pale ones", but soon got chased into the unhospitable deserts, and swamps, as their inferior iron weapons and armor got crushed by the Giamvese fire and steel. The ethnicity of the population is divided into two groups: The purebloods, or Pursangve, those who claim to have direct lineage to the old empire, and have not intermingled with the natives, and the mixed-bloods, or Mistsangve, the rest of the population, even though a large portion of them are still fully natives.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Pursangve ethnicity group have blonde or red hair, and a fair skin complexion, hence the native nickname "pale ones". They seem to be less adapted to the somewhat hotter climate of the new world. They seem to sweat a lot, get tired more quickly, get sunburns more easily, and are generally not suited for the weather. The natives on the other hand have lived in the are for quite some time, and are suited for the climate pretty well. They have a darker complexion, a bit brownish color that has earned them a nickname: "copperskins". Their hair is black, occasionally brown, and seem to be having less "fur" than the Pursangve. The Mistsangve have traits from both ethnicities, with some of them having darker skin and red hair, or others having black hair and an intermediate skin color. It is quite easy to differenciate between them.
