Still the most powerful of the ten houses, Cherryfield’s standing has taken some recent hits. The loss of control over Starfall Manor was likely no more than a minor inconvenience. However, multiple financial hits including failed crops and sunken trading vessels have left Cherryfield vulnerable and the other houses sense blood in the water. Cherryfield, unusually, is controlled by all four sons of the elderly Peklar Badalian – who intends to pass the inheritance over the house to the one who shows most ambition and promise to lead the house forward. This has led to an uneasy mix of ambition and intrigue within the house all while trying to balance the best interests of Cherryfield in difficult circumstances.
