The Thornhaven Wall

"There is no way over, not without getting a splinter." -The Epic of Edictus, by Maltu of House Mera

Utility

It was first created to keep out the infestations and stampedes from other Gojera animals which once threatened their food supplies and shelter. The first and third stage inhabitants laboriously built for two years the first incarnation of the wall. After its completion and subsequent success, more traps were added to keep out the smaller tribes of Mobythians. Several traps were added as they were invented throughout Thornhaven's history. At one point, a much-maligned king, King Aieto, used it as an execution. He employed many people throughout Gojera to create unique traps for the wall in return for a home within the village. Offenders were placed in the trap field. One cannot navigate through the traps without a guide or map. If they survived, they were allowed to live but were exiled. This king was later dethroned, but the traps he had invented for the wall were kept.
Inventor(s)
Queen Althome was the first to draw plans for the wall. King Aieto's investments, despite his intentions, helped strengthen the wall.
Complexity
The wall is the first piece of technology in which Mobythians have utilized electricity and magnetism. These along with earlier developments are used to line the wall and fields around it with various types of traps, stakes, and lances. There is even an electrified puddle. It's not enough to kill anything, but scares away enough of the smaller animals when they come near to drink. It can rise as high as twenty feet tall and several layers thick along the more vital areas of the village. In other areas, it ranges from ten to fifteen feet high. These areas are more heavily fortified and guarded.
