Kalomide's Followers

An extremist revolutionary political party of first stage Mobythian slaves following the expressed desires of Kalomide to deconstruct the enslavement policies of Thornhaven.

Structure

Kalomide roused the first of his followers. For a while after his death, there was no organization within their group. It was not until the Sentinel Age when Elionor the Spike rose to lead them.

History

For as long as they've been recording history, the Mobythians used their first and third stages of metamorphosis as slaves to build, farm, serve, and hunt. After Thal placed the first sun-dried brick that marked the beginning of Thornhaven, the slaves have endured the torture of labor and lashings. It was by their hands the rest of Thornhaven was built. The first stage Mobythians of Thornhaven were kept as servants in every major House. The third stage Mobythians were used as hunters, farmers, and shepherds. When they warred with other Mobythian tribes, the slaves were used as expendable pawns. During the Plague Age, the higher class citizens rarely left their homes. They used the first stage slaves as messengers and laborers, for it mattered not if they contracted any illness. The much-maligned King Aieto executed many for his enjoyment and used several as poison testers for his food. Many revolutionaries attempted rousing the people, but none prevailed except for Kalomide (first known to Thornhaven as "the anonymous burner"). He would burn major parts of the city if the King or Queen or noble Houses ignored his requests to stop slavery. And after the first attacks were carried out, others began to follow and support him. They would carry out attacks all over the city, and although they preached peaceful destruction there were four unintended casualties. Kalomide was eventually outed as their leader and executed. His followers were without order for fifty more years. During the Sentinel Age, Elionor the Spike utilized the distraction of the incoming Sentinels to rouse the slaves again. They took over significant weapon caches, mills, farmland, and important buildings. The royalty of that time, Queen Grelen, needed access to them in case of war with the Sentinels, but Elionor withheld them as ransom for freedom.
