Godbrand

In an age long past, the world was a primeval chaos. From this chaos emerged Adonai, God of Creation. He was alone, so he created the gods of time and space to keep him company. This caused the chaos to gain shape and start moving in time. But Adonai was still lonely, so he created more gods, giving the world the elements, magic, and separating it into many planes of existence. But Adonai was still alone, so he created mortal life to populate the new world. The newly created life was without drive or spirit, so in response, Adonai created the four gods of morality.   Yelnas, God of Chaos was born to be a son to Adonai, as well as to inspire mortals to choose their own course in life and act independently of the gods. Oara, Goddess of Law was born to be a daughter to Adonai, in addition to giving mortals the ability to bond with each other and form civilizations. Seteus, God of Good was born to be a true friend to Adonai, while also acting as the measuring stick used to judge morality and inspire people to live for something greater than themselves. Goetyr, Goddess of Evil was born to be a wife to Adonai, and to inspire desire in mortals, like the desire to improve the world and themselves, and the desire for love. The powers of the four gods combined gave drive and spirit to life. Several of the other gods then proceeded to create what they thought life should be like.   There have been several generations of heroes, with the most notable being the heroes of the War of the Gods. They were the first generation to perform blood pacts with the gods, wield the Regalia weapons, and formed many of the kingdoms that now rule the world that has come to be called Godbrand by planeswalkers, after the Brands that appear on its blood bonded rulers.   1763 years have passed since the gods first chose their champions. Countries have risen and fallen, and now a new world of possibilities has opened up with the discovery of Magium, a resource that allows the recasting of spells, that has lead to a technological revolution. A new generation of heroes rises, both with and without ancient blood, to combat threats both old and new.
