Glyphea

A world where magic is only accelerating technological advancement, the world of Glyphea is on the edge of many exciting new discoveries and events- though not all of them are good for the peoples that inhabit the world. Even so, society marches bravely forward, hopefully for the best.   Magic is easy to learn for those who have access to it, and in recent times printing books has become much more widespread- making learning spells and rituals that much more accessible. With magic becoming so widespread, so has interest in the arts and sciences. Universities have opened, catering to those who wish to learn, and so begins the Weave Renaissance. New discoveries on the nature of magic, the capabilities of mages, and ways to improve upon technology abound. However, with all this rapid progress, some obstacles are inevitable. The chance that someday, somebody will go too far becomes an increasingly worrying, and dangerous.   In the meantime, it seems that everything is going well. Education, especially education in mage studies and magic, are improving the everyday lives of the common folk. The various nations of the world are cordial towards each other, and there hasn't been much sign of war for a good while now. Things are mostly fine, for now at least.   Where will the world go from there? Only time will tell.
