The vision I guess

It's 4 am right now but I feel like this is very important. So! The basic idea of the "known world" is that this is a fantasy world built with a conscious effort to subvert/twist clichés. One example of this is the "ancient empire/ancient ruins" trope. First of all, I have two. The Yerbans deliberately left not written, while the Asturians (roman-esque uniters of the land) are modeled after biblical Hebrews and their fantastical murder spree across the levant. Their history is sometimes lost to legends and fables but there is also "real" history recorded parallel to that. Meanwhile, many of the ruins the Yerbans left are giant city block sized and instead of letting them rot, new civilizations continue to use them to present day. They are not explored fully and this gives a sense of mystery to that like spicyness. Now, since our heroes will have a week to find out the thing with the heretics' notes are leading them to, I can only imagine this as an indiana jones like adventure, with a big, looming, scary pyramid city to explore by thr investigator protagonist and a few friends. Possibly a dog? Please, can we have a dog?   Another trope I sincerely want to final solution out of existence is the dward elv human trio. I don't like dwarves becuse they look stupid (look at them they are so short!) and are boring both as a different species from humans and just.. Overall. But now, now we get to the real deal. I. Passionately. Hate. Elves (except Dragon Age elves, theyre good). Space elves too, especially those from Babylon 5! They are all so smug, condescending and perfect BUUUT when shit hits the fan, they need us primitive humans to solve the problems their oh-so-highly-cultured civilization cannot. And again, they are boring as a race. If they were a human ethnicity, I could grt behind that, but a different race? Pfff.. Right. No. This, this is how I started designing the Hhrar. A completely new race, with unique cultures (yes elves and dwarves, you can have more than one culture. Dragon Age elf, sit down you know you are an exception) and anatomy, history, et cetera
