Dragon Stone

Dragon Stone is a special kind of stone that is created by elemental magic produced by dragons breathes. Dragon stones can be classified as crystals, as it is translucent with colours like a regular gem or crystal. However, this type of crystal have special properties.
Dragon stone is created by the fusing of the elemental breathes of the dragons and regular rocks, and there are two conditions. The first condition of happening is must dragons produce their elemental breathes near or around rocky areas. The second condition is the dragon breath produced must be direct and focus enough to purify the rock.
According to studies done by masters in the field of magic and geology, dragon breath of any element can fuse with a rock and become a dragon stone. However, only the fire element dragon stone is useful so far since only fire can be controlled and be used as a fire source. When one crack a fire dragon stone, it will automatically start a fire.
Since dragon stone is partly created by dragons, the stone is fairly rare. However, it is common for black smiths and rangers to collect a few dragon stone, to start a fire during emergency. It is most commonly found in a dragon nest (ones that are underground or tacky areas) where the dragon produce a lot of breath, so it is easier for the element and rock to fuse. Once a person finds a nest, he or she will most likely find plenty of dragon stone scattered around the stone. Due to its rarity, dragon stone can be sold for quite a lot especially to rangers and smiths.

Material Characteristics

Dragon stone glows in the dark by its element that fused with the stone. Unlike regular crystals, dragon stone can be found in pebble-like shapes as once the element fuse with the stone, its appearance does not alter.

Physical & Chemical Properties

The only magical properties of dragon stone are:

It glows in the dark.

Once the stone is broken, the element fused immediately releases and react in its original poverties no matter the condition of the surroundings. For example, once a fire dragon stone is broken, it immediately catch on fire no matter how wet the environment is.

*Note: When a dragon stone is created, the breaking point of the stone lowers dramatically, causing it to break even by crushing by foot.

Geology & Geography

This material can only be naturally found in rocky areas or in a dragon nest underground, due to the element must fuse with a stone.

History & Usage

Everyday use

It is used by the rangers or the smiths. The smiths use the dragon stones, especially the fire type to start their forges to safe coal. The rangers use the fire type stone to start a campfire when the site is to wet and humid to start with find and steel.

The colour of the crystal depends on the element that is fused with the stone, i.e. fire is red and water is blue.
