What is Glommer?

Glommer is a homebrew RPG setting for a home game. It combines typical fantasy tropes in a darker, eldritch context. The Great Cycle rules all, whether the denizens are aware of of it or not; a great secret lies at Glommer's heart, driving it's protagonists step-by-step to greatness or folly. If you find yourself, a wild internet wanderer, reading these pages be aware that many articles are entirely unfinished and I make no claims at great literary ability, but I hope you find something to enjoy nonetheless.   Credits You may find you recognise some names or other things in Glommer from Steven Erikson's 'Malazan Book of the Fallen' books and rather more obscurely, some guy called Rob who runs a channel on YouTube called 'Performance Check'.

A Brief History

The sun no longer shines upon the lands of Glommer; some great misdeed long past brought the Gloom from the oceans - a swallowing blackness that stole the sky away and replaced it with something new. Now, Glommer is illuminated by the lurid light show that is the the aurora and watched over by the diaspora of foreboding moons which traverse the ghastly void above.   Despite the hardships and the dangers, folk persist and at times even thrive. For a time at least, until some poor fool commits another great misdeed and all is swept aside by some terror, new or old, and from the survivors the Great Cycle begins again.
