Ginza

Ginza/銀座 is a civilised planet created back in Ginza Year 0, when a community of people living in Ginza, Tokyo decided to move to a different planet to suit their needs. They found an empty planet and decided to name it after their homeland. Throughout their history, their species has evolved to suit the planet's environment, and they have encountered a number of visitors along the way.   In the first few centuries, the Ginzanians were just getting used to their new way of life, as they built a city from the ground up, based upon the city in which they once lived. Even today, the capital city Shimbiji has many striking similarities to Earth Ginza, with many shopping districts, malls, plazas, and skyscrapers. As the population continued to grow over the years, more and more people decided to move out of Shimbiji and explore the planet. Many other towns and villages have been created.   At the conclusion of the first millennium, a group of 1000 Spaniards, specifically from the separatist region Cataluña, landed at Shimbiji Interplanetary Spaceport unexpectedly, looking for a new planet to establish a bigger Cataluña. The Ginzanians were very accepting of these new people, as they could relate to their situation. To this day, at least 500,000 Cataluñans are living as an ethnic minority all over the planet.   Ginza continues to thrive as a technological and economic powerhouse, as they have contributed to major scientific advances, even surpassing the knowledge of the Earth they left behind. The Ginzanians may still have a small grudge with Earth, but they now both live in peace with the rest of the known universe.
