Killien Zai

King Killien Zai (a.k.a. Kiën)

Killien is the firstborn of King Anushen and Queen Consort Maiara. He has always been everything that is expected of him. He is healthy, responsible, strategic, and most importantly, he takes care of his country.
Killien came onto the throne in a way that wasn't necessarily ideal. Although King Anushen was a fiercely loving husband and father, he was not a ruler. He neglected his people and his country in favor of doting on his family. Things were fine for a time, but soon the lack of management started taking it's toll. Not only for the peasantry, but also for the nobility.
The Desidi took action and replaced Anushen with Killien. Although he was only 14 at the time, he had already begun to be active in the running of the Palace. This and him being the eldest made him the most suitable. At this time Killien had not yet even passed his trials to be considered an adult. This did not hold him back however. He started making major moves as soon as he was crowned. He quickly learned the affairs of governing from his mother and the officials who had been keeping things afloat so far.
He implemented a network of spies in the major countries and was being fed information about the wider continent through this network. He started publicly working with communities in Kirian to soothe his people.
Most importantly, he found out about the Murida ambush from his spies and set up the ambush that would win Kirian the war against Murida, a long time threat. This was the moral boost that Kirians needed to love the royals once again.
Killien went even further than that. Not only did he help communities and won the war, he even postponed his own wedding until the war was over, gaining him much sympathy from the peasantry. Not to mention that he would come to marry a princess of Haria, making the biggest country on the continent an ally of Kirian.
With Killien being the same generation as the first Zai King, it is only right for him to be such a great King himself.
