The Knights of the New Dawn

The Knights of the New Dawn are an anti-Titan order, that worship Quanlin, Goddess of Mercy. Currently prosiding at the End of the World, they are building a force in the hope of breaking the world's chains, and banishing the Titans.

Structure

The Knights of the New Dawn are currently run by three knights. Eight is the sacred number of Quanlyn, and the Knight are very open about the fact that when the organisation is big enough it will be run by eight Knights of the order.    The currently taken posts of Master of Secrets, Master of Battles, Master of Rescources.    There is also a High Priest/Priestess (currently Priestess) position, and an Oracle.    There is a council made up of the leading knights, High Priestess, and representatives from each key groups in society (teachers, farmers, blacksmiths healers, shopkeeps, barkeeps, fort guards). The Council makes the choices of what happens within the fort, the choices of what the Knights do outside it, belond to the Master Knights.

Culture

As an independant group/city-state, made up of a mix of almost every slave race, the Knights of the New Dawn are still developing their own, distinct cluture. The main focus of energy in the fort it is to producing enough food to live, and training enough guards to defend themselves.    The fort is popuated by around 300 freed slaves, most of whom have never been allowed to celbrate their own culture before, so the fort is generally accepting of all good and lawful gods. Although, most people worship Quanlyn as she was the one who gave them their freedom.

Public Agenda

In vission revieced from Quanlyn, Goddess of Mercy, the Knights saw a world free of the Titans. They saw their cities torn down, and the world revorn. The world was cleansed of the posioning void, and nature had returned.  The Knights' goal is to create this world, by defeating the Titans, and repairing the torn vail.

Assets

Currently the main assests of the Knights of New Dawn are the people within the order. Many of their members have valuable tallents - including experiemental wizards, an Oracle, blacksmiths, teachers/historians, and brave adventurers.    They have a small stockpile of gold in ordered to trade with the outside world. The most valuable possesion of theirs is the knowledge of how to create a Dawn Stone (a magical gem that heals and holds back the corruption of the void).    (Start of campaign) The Knights of the New Dawn currently have no permanet home. They have their eyes set on Fort Habriel - an hours walk East of their camp.

History

The faction was originally formed by a handful of defected members of the Knights of the Last Wall. Milot Yarn was given a vision of a Titan free world by Quanyin, Goddess of Mercy. His brother and two other members who were disolusioned by the Knights of the Last Walls choice to stay at The Wall, instead of fighting the Titans, joined him when he defected. They founded the Knights of the New Dawn and swore they would not rest until they had created this world.    The founders snuck away from the wall and travelled East for a little over a year. On their way they worked as adventurers to raise money for their cause, and recruit. They also purposefully went out of their way to provide help for free to those who could not afford their prices.   On their journey they attacked many trade caravans, only to free the slaves. Many of the slaves saided with them, becoming free people, because they beleived in the Knights' cause.    Having reached the other end of the world, the Knights set up camp. At this point they had 300 freed slaves travelling with them. They build Camp Dawn, and hit it under illusiory magic.    Early in their journey they realised that the Titans were not the only problem the world faced. They saw that the fabric of the world had been worn thin and elements of darker worlds (these elements were refered to as the void) were pouring into the plane. Wraping anywhere that wasn't a Titan City of magically protected. Whlist investigating this, they met the Wizard Melon, and convinced the gnome to join their cause. With his help the Dawn Crystals were created.
