Wolfhelms
The Wolfhelms, House Lindners' personal guard and armed force until the house was completly wiped out during the Godswar. The Wolfhelms were the precurssor to the Dünenreiters, which came around 2000 years after House Lindner fell.
Veterancy
The Wolfhelms had a specific way of denoting veterancy, using the ears of their styalized helmets, the newest Wolfhelms wore the undyed white ears. After six months of service, they get given helmets with black ears. After their first year, they recive red ears. Their first deployment outside of the main barracks they were trained in gives them yellow ears. Two years or two deployments gives them orange ears. Four years nets them green ears. Five gives them cyan. Eight years gives them blue ears. Ten years allows them silver ears. Fifteen years of service allows them golden ears. If at any time the soldier is wounded, they recive a small, thin outline of purple in the helmets ears.Composition

During the final battle of House Lindner, nearly six hundred thousand people put on the uniforms of the Wolfhelms, and assaulted Fort Lamberside. Most of these people were not as well trained as usual Wolfhelms, and suffered higher losses than colored Wolfhelms.Clydesdale type horse
Equipment
During the Species War, the Wolfhelms carried a longsword, and a full body shield. Their packs were large affairs. Similar to military packs of the modern day. Holding enough equipment for the soldier to rarely need to go the quartermaster. Their armor was shined perfectly, and they wore heavy furs, due to House Lindners' territory being in the mountains, and being quite cold
A sharpening tool, two extra wraps for the hilt of a soldiers saber. Dent repairing tools for armor, oil for the blades, eating utensils, waterskins, extra undergarments, soap, comb, personal medical supplies including light bandages, healing salve, splinter removal tools, a sewing kit, writing devices, armor polish, horse brush, leather working kit, items to create 15 torches, including fuel and cloth, a brush hatchet, shaving kit, sleeping bag, blankets, a single person tent or large canvas tarp, 50 feet of sturdy rope, climbing gear, poison kit.During the Godswar, the soldiers still wore their helmet, and furs. The armor had been lost for a lighter uniform, though still keeping with the pure white color scheme of the orignal armor. Their swords became a personal choice to carry, and the shields were dropped to allow the soldiers to carry the bolt action rifles that had become commonplace.
Weaponry
The Wolfhelms carried the sword that became the symbol of Heimatwelter longblades. The handle was made out of metal, which was then covered with a strong type of wood. The wood was then wrapped in black leather. Some variants had a guard for the hand, given the name 'Mütter Schalenschutz', or Mothers Bowlguard. Called such by soldiers due to the extra protection it offered ones hand, like a mother protecting her child. The hilt was anywhere from 12 to 14 inches in length. The blade itself was curved slightly, giving it a very distinctive look. The blade was about 35 inches long. Shorter soldiers needed to push down slightly on the hilt to march, or simply wear the scabbard a little higher on their body to allow them to march.Adolf Von Lindner was the first to design the Wolfhelms sword, now known as the Wolfszahn, when he first formed the Wolfhelms to protect his fief. The swords were perfectly designed for fighting on horseback, and for ground fighting. They quickly became the staple of the Wolfhelms, and later on all of Heimatwelt. Wolfhelms took to using a strange knife design. Calling it a Dreipunkt. A blade with a twisting three edged style. The blade was designed for a more stabbing fighting style, though some mastered the art of a slicing motion with it. The blades design made it quite hard to patch up, especially in combat, far away from professional hospitals. After their weapons shifted from swords and blades, Wolfhelms began using the 2842 Moses Pulvermuskete. Some Wolfhelms carried the 2866 Joesph kurze Muskete. Using the shorter weapon allowed them to continue carrying their shields, forcing the enemy to divert more resources to taking care of the shielded Wolfhelms, allowing the long rifles to take care of their enemy. In around 45566, the Wolfhelms began using the first types of bolt action rifles. The 556 Nadelgewehr. Forgoing their shields and armor to become a hard hitting, mobile unit. cavalry units began using the Meeker-Drehflinte which allowed them to fire single handed, and have the range of the Nadelgewehr. During the final battle of House Lindner, as many weapons as could be gathered were handed out to the soldiers. This included weapons that hadn't been in service for a few thousand years. Including 2842 Moses Pulvermusketes and 556 Nadelgewehrs. Along with the newer stuff, including three Eiserne Landkampfschiffes.
Vehicles
The Wolfhelms usually rode their massive horses into battle. And only near the end of their service were they using more modern vehicles.
