Camiel Maxims was born in 911 E1. During his father's reign, he took over as a proxy leader from 935 to 942 E1 before becoming king officially after his father's death in 942 E1. His father's death impacted him exceptionally, and his decision making abilities as king were heavily dampened early in his reign. He was indecisive and relied on the Advisorials for many of his decisions, even after recovering from the emotional impact of Emaral's death. He died in 975 E1, leaving the kingdom about the same as he inherited it.
Camiel was most notable for continuing the social welfare and economic programs of his father. He was anti-war just like Emaral, and kept the military small and economy growing.
