The Nimearan-Yulani War

The bloodiest conflict fought by Nimeara and the second bloodiest fought by the Yulan-Tai, the war between these two states was fought over the fate of the Kingdom of Nimeara.

Fought over the course of a decade, and largely in the mountains surrounding the homelands of the Nimearan people. The Nimearans were eventually defeated, forced to cede their outer provinces, and made into a tributary kingdom of the Yulan-Tai Empire, with the older, wealthier state becoming the crown jewel of the greater Yulani Empire.   The Nimearan-Yulani War paved the way for the third expansion, as the last major state south of the mountainous regions of Northwestern Galisea was subjugated by the Yulan-Tai. It is believed that a change in cultural attitudes after this war would lead to the growing corruption lamented by Yulani scribes in the later histories of the Yulan-Tai Empire.
