Potion of Lesser Restoration

Though healing magic in the form of minor healing potions has been available in most Dotharan markets for the previous 200 years, the availabilty of aids and remedies for most ailments eluded the urban denizens of the rapidly-developed Sae'adar. Vìndiyrn Möv kèn Lutfullah invented the potion as part of his ongoing efforts to curb the city's frequent epidemics.    The potion was developed after discovering the cause of the Sae'adaran Epidemic of 403 PE – an infected irrigation canal whose water supply had been contaiminated with the body of an Aeillan sailor. After removing the sailor and magically purifying the water proved insufficient to curb the epidemic, during a second visit to the canal, Möv Lutfullah decided to test Lesser Restoration at the infection's source water in hopes of the spell's effects being imparted downstream in the plumbing of the infected neighborhoods.

Utility

Sae'adar is a port city, and as such faces a wide variety of plagues and viral infections brought in by the world's community. Vìndiyrn hoped to get ahead of the next infectious disease after the months-long ordeal fighting the Epidemic of 403. After verifying that the effects of Lesser Restoration could be imparted into liquid, he then sought to distill it into a potion akin to the common Potion of Healing available in the city's dockside merchant fronts.

Manufacturing

Creation of the tonic is not complex, but it does require a skillset that combines abjuration magic with herbal medicine.
